Abstract
L. ruderale decreased the gonadotropic potency of the pituitary glands of mice. This was shown by injecting intramusc, into normal 21-day-old female mice, the pituitary glands from treated and control animals and weighing the sex organs 5 days later. The wt. of the uterus plus vagina of uninfected controls was 13.5 mg., that of mice receiving Lithospermum-treated pituitaries 14.6 mg. and that of mice receiving control pituitaries 26.2 mg.Keywords
