Abstract
For a polymer of length L, in a good solvent (chain with excluded volume), the short range energy Eo(L), the interaction energy EI(L) and the entropy S(L) have been calculated for large values of L. It is shown that E0(L) ≃ e0 L + 0(1), that EI(L) ≃ eIL + 0(1) and that S(L) = sL + (γ - 1) In L + 0(1). We note that no Flory terms of the form Lc with 0 < c < 1 appear in these expressions
