Abstract
Continuous recordings of hypothalamic temperature were made on a rhesus monkey placed in a restraining chair. Under non-isolated conditions distinct diurnal variations in temperature were observed. The extent of these cycles appeared to be attenuated when the animal was isolated. In addition, feeding sessions under isolated conditions were accompanied by larger increases in temperature than during non-isolated conditions. Keywords
