Abstract
Seven linkage groups were identified in A. flavus by means of the parasexual cycle. Twenty genetic markers were assigned to these linkage groups which contained 6, 4, 4, 2, 2, 1 and 1 markers, respectively. Parasexual crosses between markers in each of the 7 linkage groups, 21 possible combinations in all, showed independent assortment. Crosses between markers assigned to the same linkage group indicated a low frequency of mitotic crossing-over.
