Studies of Influenza A (PR8) Infected Tissue Cultures by Electron Microscopy.

Abstract

Chick chorioallantoic membrane previously infected with influenza virus was studied in the electron microscope using the technique of Porter, Claude and Fullam. Filaments of the same diam. as the spherical virus particles are seen in the infected cell areas. Some intermediate forms suggesting a link between the filaments and spheres are shown.
