Orientation of till fabric by overriding glacier in the Saint Lawrence Valley

Abstract
Local reorientation of the original northeast fabric of the Malone till to a north-northwest and northwest fabric is considered due to the overriding advance of the Fort Covington glacial lobe. A lake covered the Malone drift during the readvance and by preventing deep freereezing, probably facilitated the reorientation to depths of about 35 feet below the top of the drift and minor deformations to depths of 65-70 feet.--H.C.W.S
