Abstract
The Schrödinger equation appropriate to a potential described by an almost periodic function (in the sense of representation theory) is examined. The Bloch‐Floquet theorem is generalized to almost periodic functions and some properties of the density of states and spatial localization of the electrons are obtained. Some qualitative aspects of band structure are discussed.Keywords
