Abstract
Recent developments in healthcare legislation have caused nurses to examine new and innovative styles of practice. Psychiatric consultation liaison nursing promotes collaboration among healthcare practitioners, raises standards of patient care and strengthens rather than negates the traditional role of the mental health nurse.Keywords
