Critical Slowing Down and Correlation of Concentration Fluctuations of a Macromolecular Solution Very Near Its Critical Mixing Point

Abstract
The angular and the spectral distribution of scattered light intensity from polystyrene (Mn = 392 000) in cyclohexane were measured at the critical solution concentration very near its critical mixing point in the one phase region. Results show deviations from the critical exponent concept for both static and dynamic thermodynamic properties of critical macromolecular solutions.
