THE TOXIC FACTORS IN EXPERIMENTAL TRAUMATIC SHOCK. III. SHOCK ACCOMPANYING MUSCLE ISCHEMIA AND LOSS OF VASCULAR FLUID 1

Abstract
A comparison of the incidence of shock due to graded amts. of vascular fluid loss has been made in animals subjected to muscle ischemia and in a series of normal controls. No significant difference in the incidence of shock was observed between the 2 groups. By this technique, no evidence was obtained for the production of an ischemic region of any agent capable of lowering the resistance of the animal to the effects of loss of vascular fluid.
