Abstract
Currents induced by the passage of a pulsed beam of essentially monoenergetic 1.3-Mev electrons through thin single crystals of MgO have been observed. The bombardment-induced current is proportional to the applied voltage in accordance with theoretical expectation. The lifetime of the charge carriers before trapping is approximately 3× sec.
