Promotion of Leaf Expansion by Kinetin and Benzylaminopurine.

Abstract
Studies on the action of kinins, light and Co in controlling expansion of etiolated bean leaf disks show that both promote expansion whether applied in red or far red light or during darkness. These two kinins or Co appear to be more effective than red light in promoting expansion. The benzyl analog or Co are essentially additive with red light but when Co and the kinins are given together in either light or darkness the promotion is considerably less than additive.
