Abstract
Cellophane cultivation techniques have been proven to be useful for the study of colony growth in Streptomyces. Results obtained by this procedure indicate that, in S. antibioticus, substrate mycelium was a nutrient support for aerial mycelium growth. Oleandomycin synthesis starts before aerial mycelium formation and may play an important role during colony growth. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
