Displacement Effect of Thimble Chambers Exposed to a Photon or Electron Beam from a Betatron

Abstract

A simple correction can be made for the displacement effect of a thimble chamber exposed to high energy photons from a betatron. Good agreement was obtained between depth ionization curves measured with commercial chambers of different sizes.
