Cognitive Evaluation of Children With Elevated Blood Lead Levels

Abstract
• Cognitive evaluation of children with elevated blood lead levels was compared with that of a control group similar in age, sex, race, neonatal condition, socioeconomic status, and presence of pica. No significant differences in cognitive functioning were found between the study and control groups. Implications of the present data and their relationship to those of previous investigations are discussed. (Am J Dis Child 131:791-793, 1977)
