THE RELATION OF STRAY LIGHT IN THE EYE TO THE RETINAL ACTION POTENTIAL

Abstract
The retinogram was shown in the rabbit to represent the response of the large no. of elements outside the image to stray light instead of those in the image. Decrease in the latency of the response with increase in area can be attributed to the increase in stray light, and this effect cannot be used as evidence that post-synaptic processes are involved.
