Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between leisure activity participation of elderly recreational vehicle (RV) tourists and life satisfaction and the extent to which each life satisfaction variable contributes to the prediction of leisure satisfaction. Subjects (N=406) were drawn from a popular winter RV tourist area and data were gathered through a self-report life satisfaction index. Zero-order correlations indicated a significant relationship between high life satisfaction and leisure activity involvement. Multiple regression analysis determined the strongest predictor of leisure satisfaction to be the life satisfaction variable expressing the feeling that as one grows older, things seem better than he or she thought they would be.Keywords
