The Activity of Some Neuroleptic Drugs and Amphetamine in Normal and Isolated Rats

Abstract
Prolonged isolation induced in approximately 60 % of Wistar male rats the mouse-killing attitude. Isolated rats were lessreactive to cataleptogenic doses of neuroleptics such as chlorprom azine and haloperidol and more sensitive to amphetamine than grouped animals. Differences in reactivity to drugs between ‘killers’ and isolated ‘non-killers’ are also reported.
