NIST's much anticipated ICE 2006 test results have now been released alongside results from the FRVT 2006 facial recognition challenge. The results show how far both face (including 3D) and iris recognition technologies have come – although there is still work to be done. This survey highlights the high-level findings and gauges industry reaction.
