Pyrimidine Nucleotides as Precursors of Ribonucleic Acid (PNA) Pyrimidines.

Abstract
Biologically marked ribonucleic acid was isolated from yeast grown in a medium containing N15. Marked cytidine and uridine were prepared from it and injected into rats. After 3 days, the rats were killed and the polynucleotides isolated and analyzed for N15. Cytidine enters ribonucleic acid more readily than uridine. Cytidine is also a precursor for the uridine of ribonucleic acid.
