PROTEIN AND AMINO ACID REQUIREMENTS OF INFANTS

Abstract
Nutritional inadequacy of unsupplemented breast feeding of infants beyond the 3d mo. of life arises from quantitative rather than qualitative limitations of certain amino acids. The necessary supplements should be derived from animal protein sources[long dash]milk and meat, rather than cereal proteins. Soybean milk may be employed to advantage.
