Inbred Mice and their Hybrids as an Animal Model for Atherosclerosis Research

Abstract

This study was undertaken to determine if there are genetic factors in mice that influence the development of fatty deposits in the wall of the aortic sinus and the control of serum total cholesterol levels. The relationship of these two phenomena to each other was also studied.
