Abstract
In the assessment and management of patients with acute symptomatic pulmonary embolism (PE), prognostic information helps to guide therapeutic decision making, such as the need for escalation of care, admission to the intensive care unit, or administration of thrombolytic therapy.1 Moreover, accurate and objective models of prognosis could help clinicians to determine the appropriateness of early hospital discharge or complete ambulatory treatment for patients with acute symptomatic PE.Keywords
