Abstract
The current distribution along a vortex line emerging from a bulk superconductor is computed. The current density at the metal‐air interface was found to follow a 1/r2 law at far distances from the vortex axis, while deep inside the metal it falls off exponentially. The effect of this structure on the macroscopic behavior of superconductors is discussed. Keywords
