Abstract
The authors discuss a study of the effect of electric stimulation of the exposed motor cortex of 3 monkeys. They produced primary waves corresponding with the frequency of electric stimuli applied to the motor cortex up to 68 per sec. These primary waves were usually accompanied by secondary waves giving an average total frequency of 120 responses per sec. Their results would seem to indicate a much more direct connection from the motor cortex to the spinal motor neurones than might have been expected. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
