This study was conducted to develop an artificial medium that would enhance the growth of the in-fectious-synovitis-type PPLO. The optimum concentration of diphos-phopyridine nucleotide (DPN) in the artificial media was 0.01%. Several crude supplements that were considered to contain DPN failed to support any growth of these organisms.
