Vibrotactile Learning and the Menstrual Cycle

Abstract
3 groups of nulliparous -women aged from 17 to 22 yr. learned a 9-element vibroractile code through the skin of the left wrist. The groups were designated premenstrual, postmenstrual, and intermenstrual. There was a significant practice effect over 10 trials and a significant difference between menstrual groups. It is suggested that phases of the menstrual cycle should be taken into account when females are recruited for studies of learning and perception through the skin.
