Self-Consistency Effects in Quasilinear Theory: A Model for Turbulent Trapping

Abstract
Model equations are proposed in an attempt to take into account the self-consistency effects which invalidate the quasilinear theory in one dimension. The diffusion coefficient and mode growth rate are found to be increased as compared with their quasilinear predictions.Keywords
