EXPERIMENTAL SUPERFECUNDITY WITH PITUITARY GONADOTROPINS11

Abstract
Ant. pituitary gonadotrophin when administered to immature [male] rats at certain levels brings about the phenomenon of superovulation and the implantation of an unusually high number of ova. A large proportion of such implantations undergoes resorption so that at the end of gestation which is usually somewhat prolonged, fewer than normal young are born.
