Abstract
The protein concentration, the osmolality and the permeability of proteins from the serum into oviduct fluid continuously collected by the intraabdominal flask technique was followed in estrus and pseudopregnant rabbits. Proteins transudated from the serum do not change in concentration as a function of hormonal state, rather only the total amount changes, correlating to a decreased volume under progesterone domination. Further, the penetration of specific proteins from serum into oviduct fluid is likely to be controlled by their molecular size. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
