Astrophysical Determination of the Coupling Constant for the Electron-Neutrino Weak Interaction

Abstract

The existence of the $\left(\overline{e}{\nu }_e\right)\left({\overline{\nu }}_{e}e\right)$ weak interaction is confirmed by the results of nine astrophysical tests. The value of the coupling constant is equal to, or close to, the coupling constant of beta decay, namely $g^2={10}^{0+2}{g_{\beta }}^2$.
