Abstract
Minoxidil (6-amino-1,2-dihydroxy-1-hydroxy-2-imino-4-piperidino-pyrimidine) is an orally effective vasodilator acting directly on vascular smooth muscle, producing a decrease in peripheral vascular resistance.
