Minoxidil Therapy in Refractory Hypertension Analysis of 155 Patients

Abstract
Minoxidil (6-amino-1,2-dihydroxy-1-hydroxy-2-imino-4-piperidino-pyrimidine) is an orally effective vasodilator acting directly on vascular smooth muscle, producing a decrease in peripheral vascular resistance. The use of Minoxidil in 12 dialysis patients with uncontrollable hypertension is reviewed.
