Properties of the Low-LyingCu63Levels

Abstract
The nuclear properties of the low-lying levels of Cu63 have been calculated with a core-to-particle interaction of the form Hint=ξ(Jc(1)·jp(1))η(Qc(2)·Qp(2)), where Jc(1) and Qc(2) are, respectively, the angular-momentum operator and the mass quadrupole operator of the core, while jp(1) and Qp(2) play a similar role for the particle. Energy levels, single-particle admixtures, and electromagnetic properties of the ground state and excited levels of Cu63 have been fitted quite well with relatively few adjustable parameters. The magnetic dipole properties of Cu63 are not in as good agreement with the experimental results as the electric quadrupole properties.
