Abstract
A polarisation independent 1 × 4 phased-array wavelength demultiplexer is demonstrated using 1.1 µm quaternary ridge waveguides. The average crosstalk is 14 dB for a 2 nm channel spacing. Zero birefringence is obtained around 1.55 µm and about 0.05 nm birefringence is obtained around 1.31 µm.Keywords
