Abstract
Greenbugs, Schizaphis graminum (Rondani), in a greenhouse test moved more on resistant varieties of 4 species of small grains than on susceptible varieties. Also, greenbugs on susceptible varieties tended to move lower on the plant; those on resistant varieties were found at a higher location. Movement decreased as the greenbugs became older, especially on resistant plants. Increased mobility on resistant plants could reduce feeding and thus reduce damage as well as cause adverse effects on the fecundity of greenbugs.
