Abstract
The infrared absorption of injected carriers in germanium has been observed by a modulation technique. For injection into low-resistivity material, the data indicate a linear relationship between injected carrier density and injection current. For injection into high-resistivity material, departure from a linear relationship is indicated. The absorption spectrum of injected carriers resembles that of extrinsic carriers. Keywords
