Duodenal Ulcers Produced on a Diet Deficient in Pantothenic Acid.

Abstract
In rats on purified diets with synthetic B factors, the omission of pantothenic acid led to changes in the duodenum, but not in the rest of the gastrointestinal tract. Regions of atrophy were seen in all animals in about 100 days and 60% showed superficial, penetrating or perforating ulcers.
