Abstract
A great variation was observed in the amount of soluble GFA [glial fibrillary acidic protein] depending on the brain area. Large amounts were found in the chiasma and pons; in the cortical grey matter was poor. Soluble GFA apparently represents a potentiality of the nervous tissue defense.
