Abstract
Ecg. data are valuable in confirming the diagnosis of cor pulmonale. The diagnosis can be made on the basis of a "pulmonale P wave, presence of a late R wave in aVR and in V3R, in complete right bundle branch block, inversion of T in V2, V3, and/or V4. Cardiac catheterization showed no direct relationship between the degree of right ventricular strain and the level of mean right ventricular pressure.
