DETERMINATION OF DRUG SUSCEPTIBILITY OF MYCOBACTERIA TO PYRAZINAMIDE IN 7H10 AGAR

Abstract
The technique involves the variation in content of buffer salts to provide a final pH of 5.5. The adjustment of inoculum size to provide 100 to 200 colonies on the control medium and the reading of plates after 20 days of incubation showed the minimal inhibitory concentration of pyrazinamide for Mycobacterium tuberculosis to be 18 to 22 gamma/ml.
