Abstract
The small-signal analysis of the multiphase interleaved boost converter with coupled inductors operated in the continuous inductor current mode is addressed. It is very difficult to design a dynamic feedback controller when the converter phase is expanded since there are no general and compact expressions for the small-signal analysis for various inductor couplings. Analytical and concise frequency models are derived and the dynamic characteristics investigated according to the inductor couplings and the number of phases. The small-signal analysis is verified experimentally. The proposed frequency models will be very useful to design the dynamic controllers of the multiphase interleaved boost converters. Keywords
