Cultivation of Adult Teleost Tissues in vitro.

Abstract
An investigation was initiated to determine methods whereby tissues from salmonid fishes could be cultivated in commercial media. Tissues from several species of trout were grown for over two months in media composed of 5% embryo extract, 20% serum, 30% synthetic medium 199 and 45% Earle''s solution. Results of comparisons of various components of the media are given.Keywords
