A Complement-Fixation Test for Poliomyelitis Virus

Abstract
The MEF1 strain of poliomyelitis virus, a rodent-adapted Lansing type, can be adapted to newborn mice by repeated passage; under ordinary conditions such newborn mice are relatively resistant. The virus in the medium of newborn mice show an increase titer and can be prepd. as antigen for a specific complement-fixation test for poliomyelitis.
