Abstract
Lifetime measurements in the 109 sec range have been made for E2 or M1+E2 transitions in the following nuclei: Sm152, Gd154, Hf180, W182, Os188, Ir191, Au197, and Po210. Upper limits for lifetimes have been established for E2 or M1+E2 transitions in Ir191, Pb204, Pb206, Pb207, and U234. E2 radiative transition probabilities are considered within the framework of the Bohr-Mottelson unified nuclear model. For neutron number N=90126, distortion parameters evaluated from E2 radiative lifetimes are about 5-6 times smaller than those evaluated from first excited state energies of even-even nuclei.
