THE EFFECT OF SUBCUTANEOUS HISTAMINE INJECTION ON THE CARDIAC OUTPUT OF THE UNANESTHETIZED DOG

Abstract
The subcutaneous injn. of about 10 mg. histamine base/kg. produced in unanesthetized dogs a marked reduction in cardiac output, A-V O2 difference, and O2 consumption. In most of the expts. total peripheral resistance was increased in spite of the profound state of hypertension.
