The structure of Pt-Sn/Al2O3 catalysts of different compositions has been studied using tin Mössbauer spectroscopy and their behaviour investigated in double calcination, in desorption, subsequent adsorption of oxygen and hydrogen, chlorination and rehydrogenation. Some conclusions are presented on the surface and catalytic properties of these solids
