Abstract
An exact solution is given to a particular model for the problem in which a reactant (vacancies) diffuses to an absorbing boundary (sinks) but is occasionally delayed by traps. The solution is compared with a second solution developed using a rate-theory approach with dispersed sinks.Keywords
