Histologic Study of the Chamber Angle of Patients with Marfan's Syndrome

Abstract
In 1941 Georgiana Dvorak-Theobald1published a study of the histologic eye findings in arachnodactyly and in 1954 Reeh and Lehman2presented a clinicopathologic case report on the eyes of a patient with such a condition. Most recently Sadí de Buen and Velázquez3have added a third case to this series. We were impressed with the remarkable developmental anomalies in the chamber angles of the eyes of these patients and suspected that chamber angle changes might be a regular occurrence in patients with arachnodactyly. Gonioscopic studies in patients with Marfan's syndrome have confirmed this suspicion (Burian4). They have now been discussed in more detail by von Noorden and Schultz.5 Drs. Theobald, Reeh, and de Buen have very kindly given us slides of their cases for study and allowed us to use them in this publication. Their descriptions of the chamber angles are excellent, but they are
