Abstract
A case of hemochromatosis of the C. N. S., with relatively little involvement of the viscera, is described. The main neurologic signs were ataxia and deafness. The cerebrospinal fluid was xanthochromic. The primary pathologic process was believed to be in the teloid roof of the 4th ventricle; the superior surface of the cerebellum was intensely damaged. It is believed that the case herein reported, with a few similar cases from the literature, constitutes a well-defined clinicopathologic entity.
