Abstract

There are 2 groups of Pellia peroxidase isozyme phenotypes, one composed of P. epiphylla, P. neesiana and P. borealis, the other of P. endiviifolia from Europe, P. endiviifolia from Japan and P. megaspora. The phenotypes within the 2nd group differ, supporting the suggestion that there are 3 taxa present.
